Projects and their process
During this semester we had three different projects the first was is this I believe essay, the second is a rhetorical analysis, and the third is an exploratory essay. The this I believe essay is about something that you believe in. I wrote about always going to a funeral. I prewrote about it I already knew what I want to write about. I think that going to a funeral is important, because you are showing respect to the dead, and the family. If you go it show that you care. My rhetorical analysis essay is everyone had to pick an advertising, and write about the ad. You had to describe that ad . I wrote about mental health. It’s talking about mental health, and it’s also talking about talking about it can help also. My exploratory was about fixed Vs. growth mindset. We had to come up with a question, and the teacher provided all the material. We also had to come up with a question, and use the material provided to try to answer the question you created. My question was how can you change your mind from fixed to growth. During the three projects I had a process I had to follow. I wrote my rough draft for each, then peer review, and editing, and last final copy. I followed this for each of the projects.
Learning Outcomes
I learned how to use collaborative writing processes. I use the writing processes to help me write out my paper. First, I brainstorm to know what I would won’t on my paper. Brianstroming is very important, because you are trying to get ideas to go into your paper. Second, is your rough draft. The rought draft is getting you ready for the final product. In the rough draft you proofread, and look for errors in the paper. Then last, is your final copy the finish product that you looked for errors, and brainstormed to get the finished product. I also learned how to develop flexible strategies for generating, revising, editing, and proofreading. I had many problems that rose up. It was hard, because I did not know what I was going to write about a topic. I did not know the right words to say. I thought revising and editing was the esay part.i went back, and made sure my paper made sense, and when it did not I went back, and I made it better. I was looking for misplaced words. When I went back over I saw that I had some grammer errors.
Strengths and Challenges One of my strengths is peer reviewing, because I gave feedback to my classmates to help them on there paper. It opened my eyes and theres to see all the wrong things that was wrong in the paper. I liked it, because I read others paper, and it gave me ideas to add to my paper. One of my challenges is I had minor mishaps. My computer would glitch out, and do crazy things.I finally got a better computer so this don’t happen again. It was a pain to get things in ontime with my old computer acting up all of the time. I also did not know what I was going to write about I had trouble of what I was going to say.
Overall Benefit
I expected this to be an easy classs, and I sail through the class. That was not the case I think the class has a little hard, but not that much. I did not try to apply myself so that’s the reason it was hard on my end. I wated to the last minute to do thing, and now I know that that’s impossible to do so now I have to be on it this time. I think that I am read for english class next semester. My teacher all the skills so then I have to put those skills to work. I liked she worked with me on my computer problem. Overall this class was great, and I meet new people.
